- The RFL permanent magnet alternator is more compact and lighter due to the rotor having a fully embedded permanent magnet design, rather than a wound rotor with permanent magnet end. This allows the diameter and length of the rotor to reduce significantly.
- RFL technology uses rare earth Neodymium magnets which are the most powerful commercialized type of magnet available today. The magnets are encapsulated in a protective coating to prevent corrosion and the unique rotor designs prevents demagnetization of the permanent magnets under heavy loads and short circuits.

- The units, built tested and IP65 certified and have complete protection against contact with live or moving parts inside the enclosure, and against the ingress of dust. Water projected by a nozzle against the machine from any direction shall have no harmful effect.
